Lithuania's second largest city, Kaunas, is a cultural centre boasting numerous museums and three theatres among its attractions. On its Baltic coastline Lithuania boasts seaside resorts, the most popular being Palanga and Kursiu, with unspoilt white sandy beaches backed by pine forests.
