Unlike other online travel service suppliers, we completely guarantee the safety of your money. Card details are secured within 128-bit SSL encryption, processed & authorised online by Protx, then transferred by either LloydsTSB CardNET, American Express or JCB to our Trust account. Rules of the account prevent the removal of your money from that trust account to pay for your accommodation/services until your arrival date.

We urge everyone booking accommodation online to question the supplier to ensure that the level of security we offer is provided. Many offer secure transfer of card details and money to their bank accounts, but nothing preventing removal of monies before you travel.

Step 1 - Secure credit / debit card authorisation by Protx

After you have chosen your accommodation you are taken to our booking page, you'll immediately notice the secure lock in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This means that after you have entered your card details and pressed the 'book' button, your card details are secured within 128-bit SSL encryption by Thawte and transmitted to Protx where they are processed & authorised online.

In addition to the usual security checks we have also adopted the 3D Secure credit card authorisation technique developed by Visa and MasterCard. 3D Secure uses a more secure method for authenticating your credit card at the time your booking is placed. The scheme is set up as an online equivalent to Chip and PIN (that you may have already come across), and requires you to enter a password at your card issuer’s site, before the transaction process can be completed.

Step 2 - LloydsTSB 'CardNET' transfer to our Trust Account

Your funds are then transferred by the Lloyds CardNET system, American Express (if using an AMEX card) or JCB from your account to our Trust Account.

Step 3 - Authorisation of transfer on your date of arrival

On your arrival date we issue a request for your money from the trust account. The rules governing that trust account will not allow any money to be removed from the account without proof of your booking and your arrival date.

Conclusion - Total safety for your money

The above means that you are totally protected from loss of your payments through the failure of any of the parties involved in your booking.
